The seared baby lobster is one of the most unique items on the menu -- it is not cooked all the way through which gives it the crunchy texture and the smoky flavor from being seared. The ama ebi is always fresh and sweet tasting (we get the heads deep fried -- like eating shrimp chips). My boyfriend and I always order the hamachi and sake nigiri everywhere we go and this place never disappoints. The uni is good (according to my bf) and I've noticed that these are scooped out from a box container (perhaps these are shipped in fresh from somewhere because I've never seen the actual sea urchin on the counter). I have ordered the sushi rolls here before and they are freshly prepared as well -- but I don't find them to be anything too different than other restaurants -- I still prefer getting the nigiri because I feel that it is more bang for my buck. If I wanted to get sushi rolls I would've just gone to Old Town or Joy Sushi.

The downside about this place is that it is quite tiny (which means longer wait times) and only open for dinner time. I usually sit at the bar (for two people) which is okay because I like watching Alan the sushi chef/owner make the sushi and the barstools are quite comfortable because it has back support. Service is okay -- they are always busy so it's difficult to get their attention -- especially when you first walk in, there isn't always someone at the register so it's difficult to get your name down on the waiting list.
