Mani Monday >> Teal Ombre Nails Tutorial

I was inspired by the product packaging of a travel set by philosophy, so I wanted to create a simple spring nail look featuring mint and teal shades. It's really simple and just like my other ombre nail tutorials.
What You Need
-Nail file
-Base coat
-Mint nail polish
-Teal nail polish
-Turquoise polish
-White nail polish
-Top coat
-Makeup sponge

Directions
1. Prep your nails by filing down to your desired shape.
2. Apply one layer of base coat then let dry (I'm using the Essie Grow Stronger base coat).
3. Apply 1-2 coats of the teal nail polish on all your nails and 3-4 coats of white nail polish on the accent nail (I'm using China Glaze For Audrey and NYC French White Tip).
4. Make sure the white nail polish is completely dry before you proceed to the ombre steps.
5. Next, apply one horizontal layer of mint, teal, and turquoise nail polish on the makeup sponge (I'm using Sephora Hello Kitty Minty, China Glaze For Audrey, and Etude House #BL601). I like to keep the lightest shade on the bottom and the darkest on top.
6. Then carefully roll it over the accent nail a few times (keeping with horizontal motions,  DO NOT move vertically). The first initial layers will be quite thin and faint in color. And the nail polish will get all over your finger but just use a q-tip and nail polish remover to clean it up. Keep applying polish to the sponge and keep rolling it over the accent nail for about 3-5 times.
7. Lastly, apply your favorite top coat and you're done!
